Flaming Cactus test

Volunteers and Artists came to Hudson Square to decorate the streets with a temporary public art exhibit called “Flaming Cactus”. Animus Arts Collective used over 55,000 zip ties to cover 24 light poles along Spring Street, the park at Spring Street and Sixth Avenue and the Trump SoHo Urban Plaza.  The Flaming Cactus is an effort to use innovation to create art from inexpensive, everyday materials.  The public art is an alternative take on holiday decoration for the neighborhood filled with advertising and media companies.  As with most public art, the Flaming Cactus is a great piece of sidewalk discussion.
